英语协会演讲社成立于2006年，以面向全校同学的“CCTV杯”全国英语演讲比赛，“放飞梦想”英语歌唱比赛为主要活动项目，同时定期举办内部“口语角”活动，协助协会建立良好的演讲激情氛围，以提高口才，锻炼思辨能力，演讲技巧和人际交往为目的，给全校同学提供展示自我，广交朋友，释放激情的舞台。
